There may not be a sound device installed on your computer, it may be in use by another program, or it may not be functioning properly. nothing's wrong with the sound device.. because there's no sound device at all. HAHAHAHAHA. i can't update/reinstall the driver because i have not the CD and the supposed automatic update from the Windows Web Update site is non-existent in the options of the Hardware Update Wizard.
